I absolutely loved this show during its initial run from 1987 - 1990. Produced by Frank Mancuso, Jr. (Also producer on the Friday the 13th movies) and starring the lovely Robey (winner of the "Biggest Hair on Tv" award 1987).
“Lewis Vendredi made a deal with the devil to sell cursed antiques. But he broke the pact, and it cost him his soul. Now, his niece Micki, and her cousin Ryan have inherited the store... and with it, the curse. Now they must get everything back and the real terror begins.”
A classic in its own right. This show can go toe to toe with some of the crap on tv today. Pardon some of the special effects. They did get better as the series grew.
On a side note....
Robey had a small musical career as well. She fronted the group Louise and the Creeps during the early 80s. When they broke up in 1984 Robey landed a record deal and did a cover of Tim Rice's "One Night in Bangkok". You may remember this little ditty...
It looks like she is coming back with some new tunes! Check out her MySpace.
Thanks to Chiller TV you can now catch episodes of the show. The First Season has also just been released on dvd - Friday The 13th - The Series: The First Season
